It may seem that way right now but it really won’t last.

I guess I just want to encourage others to look at the good within the bad around us. I even had the chance to be amused by my 16-year-old son drinking his own cup of coffee for the first time in his life. I also have the choice to have a cup of coffee with my mom and dad. I have a room I can go to in order to get away from others when I need to. I don’t have to fear being abused physically. I am fortunate and blessed to have a safe home life. I’m speaking from my own personal experience. I know there is a lot of suffering and familial violence happening as well. Now is the time to enjoy each others company and LIVE. Before we know it, our friends and loved ones are no longer here. I have really enjoyed having the time to get to know my family better and to practice tolerance and kindness. I personally don’t garden but my family does. It’s been a time to work in the gardens and wave to my neighbors as they do the same. It has been a time to encourage and inspire others. This has been a time for self reflection and personal growth. I do miss seeing my friends but I remain in contact as much as possible. I have A LOT more time to clean and organize things. I have the ability to focus on weight loss, mindful eating, joining groups, taking courses, and practicing my writing skills. I believe this has equipped me to handle this season in life.

I have lived in isolation because of chronic illness. With all honesty, it hasn’t bothered me as much as I know it has others. Kids are doing their school work through Google Classroom. I know people are frustrated and anxious over this Covid-19 outbreak. I don’t go out unless it’s just to take a ride and breathe fresh air. It’s now been several months since I have been quarantined from the rest of the world. I believe this is a gift God has given me and it’s time to use my time wisely and invest in growing. I am going to practice being more focused and reliable with this. I write letters to friends, write in my journal, or jot things down that pop into my head. I can’t believe it’s been as long as it has since I’ve sat down and written anything.
